If you know of Al-Anon events that you would like to have listed on this events page, please feel free to e-mail them to us at afgdistrict5@gmail.com.  If you have an event flier, please e-mail the flier to us and we can post it!  Please remember that in keeping with our 5th, 6th and 10th Traditions – we can post only events organized by Al-Anon (includes any Al-Anon level from an Al-Anon group to Al-Anon World Service) or that include or invite Al-Anon participation and are compatible with Al-Anon’s Traditions.

·        A.A. International Convention: with full Al-Anon/

            Alateen Program: July 4 weekend, 2020, Detroit, MI.

 

 

 

 

 

 

AL-ANON EVENTS these events are organized entirely by Al-Anon/Alateen. This includes any Al-Anon level, including Al-Anon/Alateen groups, Districts, Areas, and World Service.                 

 

 

2016 Al-Anon/Alateen Events

 

Al-Anon Open Speaker Meetings: Open Al-Anon Talks may be attended by anyone, including people who are not members of Al-Anon.  District 5 is putting on a series of talks on the Last Saturday of most months. They will begin at 2:00 pm at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 2685 Packard Road, Ann Arbor.  2016 Line-Up: June 18 (which is NOT the last Saturday),  July 30, August 27, September 24, October 29, November 26, 2016.

 

Also - a neighboring District has Open Talks on the 5th Friday of months that have 5 Fridays. 2016: Jan 29, Apr 29, Sept 30, & Dec 30.

The meeting is located in Adrian at the First Methodist Church, 1245 W. Maple Street.   Fellowship begins at 7:30 pm and speaker at 8:00pm.

 

 

2016 and beyond:

 

Al-Anon International Convention will be July 6-8, 2018 – Baltimore, Maryland.

 

AA International Convention with full Al-Anon/Alateen Program will be held July 2020: – Detroit, MI

Alcoholics Anonymous 2020 International Convention with Al-Anon/Alateen participation: We are excited to learn that the 2020 International Convention of Alcoholics Anonymous will be held in Detroit over the July 4th weekend.

Planning a trip? Want to know about Al-Anon/Alateen events outside of our local community? The Al-Anon World Services Office maintains a calendar of Al-Anon/Alateen events held nationwide and internationally. Members can reach the calendar by going to the “member’s area” of the World Services web site, at http://www.al-anon.org/members/. You need to know the name of your registered “home group” or your district to enter a password to access the “member’s area.” Follow the directions to enter the password.  Then, click on “calendar” at the bottom of the page.
